Your client’s kitchen underwent quite a transformation. Tell us about it.
While the basic layout of the kitchen was acceptable, the overall look did not match the client’s design aesthetic. By squaring out the wall where the 30” oven once was, we were able to open up the kitchen allowing the clients to upgrade to a 36” professional style range and hood. The refrigerator was recessed into the wall to give the appearance of a countertop-depth unit, and the microwave drawer was placed in the island. Taking the wall cabinets up to the soaring ceilings also made the kitchen look larger while adding a significant amount of storage. Although the island is the same size, it is now functional on 3 sides instead of just one. The undercabinet and interior cabinet lights provide task as well as decorative lighting.
