Home renovation projects can be exhausting. When the dust has finally settled and the remodeling crew has departed, you’ll likely want to celebrate the completion of your project. There are lots of creative ideas to consider.
Toast with champagne.
Some people prefer a relaxed approach to celebrating the completion of a remodel. Buy a fancy bottle of champagne or your favorite wine. Toast to the new room with your significant other.
Hire a food truck.
If you’d rather throw a big party or open house event, consider hiring a food truck instead of a typical caterer. Invite the neighbors to thank them for putting up with the noise and traffic on your road. This is a great opportunity to show off your newly remodeled home. You can also invite the construction crew to thank them for a job well done.
Expand your scrapbook.
Whether or not you’re throwing a party, you may want to take some pictures for your scrapbook. Many homeowners like to have before and after pictures of their home. Take the pictures during a time of day when there is plenty of good lighting in the new kitchen.
Plan a date night at home.
If the remodeling project included a do-over of your kitchen, then there’s a good chance that your family ate a lot of takeout during the construction. Instead of celebrating by going out to eat at yet another restaurant, plan a quiet date night in your newly remodeled home.
Host a charity event.
Some families prefer to host a charity event to celebrate their newly remodeled home. Throw a party for your family, friends, and neighbors. Ask them to bring an item to donate to the homeless in lieu of a hostess gift. Some suggestions include toiletry items, diapers, and gently worn clothing.
